It’s not often I get a weekend off during the summer months – with wedding season in full swing and the kids off school it’s often one of my busiest times of year – and with the lovely summer weather we’ve had this year I wouldnt want it any other way.  At the start of this year though, I booked a full week out in my diary and booked tickets to the Goodwood Revival. It’s one of those things i’d always wanted to visit but yet never actually got around too. Each year I look at the calendar and there’s one thing or another that means I end up saying “maybe next year”. Tickets booked we headed down to Sussex for a weekend away … a weekend of old cars, old fashion and a barrel loads of laughs. I decided to take one of my old film cameras along with me to document the trip – here’s a few of my favourite exposures scanned for convenience. I think the grit and grain of old fashioned film really adds to the character of the images – I can’t wait to print some of these in the darkroom.

If you’re interested in classic motorsport and would like prints from any of these images just let me know – I’m sure I can arrange something 🙂
