I’ve known Stacey & Stephen for some years now, and have photographed them both as a couple and alongside their families several times over the last few years. We’d discussed briefly the options for wedding photography in the past but they’d never quite got around to setting a date. Rufford Abbey is a special place for Stacey & Stephen, so it was lovely when they told me they’d chosen it as the venue for their speical day. Rufford Abbey is a stunning wedding venue – a rustic barn style building surrounded by acres of natural countryside and ruins. The day started with a visit to Stacey to photograph the bridal preparations before I headed off to catch up with Stephen just before the Ceremony began. It was such a beautiful winters day, with lovely sunshine and the remnants of the luscious autumnal colours. So much attention had been paid to the little details which made for a thoroughly enjoyable wedding – there was even some Irish dancing by members of the wedding party too! ;P Here’s a few of my favourite images from the day …
