Those of you who follow this blog with interest may remember that recently I set out to test my latest equipment purchase, the Godox AD200, with model Liam Giddy. Whilst my initial impressions of the light were very good indeed, there were a couple of little niggles and quirks that I wanted to iron out before putting it into my kit bag for full time use. Chloe – who was recently awarded the prestigious title of Miss Mansfield 2017 – had got in touch to say that she would be happy to help out with the testing. For this session, we arranged to meet one evening around Newark and set about putting the light through its paces once again. This time the weather was much sunnier which gave me the opportunity to push the light to its limits, shooting at full power directly into the sun. I was seriously impressed. Overpowering the sun is never easy, yet apart from a slight issue with the flash tube overheating during rapid full power firing, the light performed brilliantly all evening and as is now a firm part of my regular kit. A big thanks to Chloe as well,  who was just brilliant and soldiered on despite the cold as the evening drew on – I look forward to working with you again in the future.
