The location for a photoshoot plays a big part in the overall look and feel of the images. As a photographer i’m always on the look out for places that would make great backdrops and I came across this disused factory after a colleague had recommended it. I contacted the owner and made arrangements for a test shoot as it can take a little while in a new venue to find the ‘best bits’, those areas where the lighting, backgrounds and interesting features all merge to create the perfect image.  I’ve worked with this family before (you can read about that session here), and knew they were relatively local so asked if they’d be interested in testing the space out. I expected a slightly ‘grungy’ feel, but hadnt expected the beautiful windows that filled the rooms with lovely natural light <3. There’s so much space here that we spent a few hours having fun and exploring all the different areas – there’s even a rooftop space that can be accessed (albeit not if youre afraid of heights & ladders!)  We started with some trendy images before going ‘back to basics’ with plain tops and gorgeous window light to create some timeless images. Here’s a few of my favourites.

If you have a specific location in mind why not send me a message? I’d love to chat through the options with you and see what we can make happen.
