It had been almost a year since I last photographed HJ. Last time, I photographed him alongside his dance partner Olivia as part of my ongoing film project. For this session, HJ’s Mum had been lucky enough to be drawn as a prize winner of the recent competition I’d run over on my Facebook page. Because I had worked with HJ before – and knew that he was pretty confident – for this session we decided to head into Nottingham centre and create some images that had an urban look to them. HJ was a bit quiet to start with, so we headed to a quieter area of town away from the crowds of people. As he warmed up, we moved to the busier areas and made use of the graffiti walls for some funky urban images with ‘attitude’. Finally, we headed down to the Nottingham Summer Beach where the fairground lights made a great neon backdrop to finish the session. Thanks HJ – it was great to work with you again 🙂
If you would like to book a city centre ‘urban’ photoshoot for your child, why not get in touch? I’d love to discuss the options with you.
