As a wedding photographer based in Mansfield, there are a few venues I find myself visiting time and again. Hazel Gap Barn in Budby, Nottinghamshire is one of my favourite wedding venues. The grounds are always in immaculate condition, the team are super helpful & friendly, and it oozes so much natural charm & elegance.  Back in 2018 when Emma & Rob enquired about wedding photography and mentioned they were planning Hazel Gap Barn as their venue I did a little happy dance ;P  Emma & Rob had planned for their wedding to be later in the afternoon, but that didnt mean the day didn’t start early with a trip to Emma to photograph the start of Bridal preprations and all the little wedding details before I headed to Rob to photograph the Groom preparations. As the morning progressed, I made time for a quick return to Emma to make sure I was able to photograph the final bridal preparations and capture her departing in the stunning VW Campervan.  The ceremony is one of my favourite parts of a wedding day – those anxious few moments waiting for the celebrant to begin, the first look as Emma walked down the aisle, the tears of joy and happiness, and of course the first kiss as a newly married husband and wife. After the ceremony we headed outside for confetti and group images, before I disappeared with Emma & Rob to capture some relaxed, natural wedding portraits around the grounds. Before we knew it, the guests were being ushered in forof Emma & Rob making the most of Hazel Gaps firepits, marshmallows & sparklers.  It was a real priviledge to be asked to capture Emma & Robs wedding day, here are a few of my favourite images from their day.
